Students age 10-19 spend a month working on a cutting-edge, Broadway-style musical that culminates in fully-staged productions for family, friends, the community, and industry professionals.

The 2012 summer program- from Monday, June 25 through Friday, July 20- includes lunch, snacks, swimming, and a performance DVD, and it all happens at the BBS space in The Jewish Center of Teaneck. The daily schedule is 9:30-4:30 Mondays to Thursdays and 9:30-2:00 Fridays. Performances are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, Wednesday, July 18, and Thursday, July 19 at 8pm.

NEW! Two-Week Drama Camp!

Monday, July 23rd through Sunday, August 5th, same daily schedule as above. Two performances (subject to change by January): Thursday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 5th at 8pm

Now in its fourth year, the camp was created by Matt Okin and is run by him, along with Danny Hoffman, Giselle D’Souza, Mea Moon, Jesse Freedman, other professional teaching artists, and special entertainment industry guests!

In this total-immersion, collaborative musical theater experience, participants receive hands-on instruction in acting, improvisation, voice, dance, and more. Camp students explore numerous genres of musical theater as they create, rehearse, and mount an exciting, full-length show. Roles are chosen specifically for each camper to showcase his or her talents and give each the opportunity to grow over the course of the summer.

Those who are interested in what goes on behind the scenes- design, lighting, management, etc.- are also encouraged to join.
